Discover Nature with Family-Friendly Forest Adventures
Wander beneath the cool canopy of Hoàng Liên forest on a gentle family adventure led by experienced Hmong guides. Designed with curious young travellers in mind, this day out invites families to connect with nature, share stories and explore at a relaxed pace. Follow winding trails through cardamom plantations, discover wild herbs and seasonal fruits, and learn how the forest has long sustained local communities. The trails can sometimes be muddy, so adventurous kids who love the outdoors will thrive in the wild forests.
Along the way, there are plenty of chances to stop, paddle in clear mountain streams on a warm day, and forage for wild edibles. A shaded picnic lunch blends local trail favourites with more familiar family-friendly fare, creating space to rest, refuel and share tales. This experience is about slowing down, looking closely and being together in nature. Whether skipping stones or spotting insects, it’s a day for imaginations to run free.

Notes:
Be aware that during foggy and rainy periods, trails around Sapa are often muddy and slippery. Walking shoes with good grip are highly recommended. We believe that trekking is all about discovery and access to the most exciting villages may involve steep inclines and clay slopes. This trek usually involves two river crossings. During periods of heavy rainfally, the walk route may be changed to avoid any unnecessary risk.
Part of the experience fee is used as payment for your three host family. You can read more about our Social Responsibility projects here.
Community based tourism (CBT) is a form of tourism where local communities are directly involved in developing, managing, and benefiting from tourism activities within their area. “Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.”
